Fiance visa and CFO

Hi everyone,firstly im a novice so please forgive as i expect this question asked 1000 times but just trying to make sure i get this right especially as i believe rules an regulations changing all the time. Met my filipino fiance just over year ago on line and since then friendship has grown into love and now weve decided we want to be together. So decided we should apply for a fiance visa, firstly is this the same as settlement visa as when i went online to the commercial arm of borders uk agency in phillipines it didnt actually say fiance visa or ami being just a bit thick. Ive read some articles on here about sending extra letter to help applicatio, so ive made up a pack containing the letter,plus copies of emails and letters, copy of my passport, tenancy agreement, employment contract, last 3 P60's for earnings, letters from my 3 sons,proof and photos of my visit to Cebu etc etc. Am i assuming that i send these directly to the visa application center in manila. My fiance is obviously making her own pack to satisfy the requirements asked for. Also my fiance has 2 young children, 4 and 6 years old,who think the world of me and me of them and theres no way their going to be left behind, would i be right in assuming that she has to fill out 3 seperate forms but it will only be the 1 payment ! Lastly people mentioning CFO, what is that ! Sorry if its all been asked before but i really want this to be right first time round. many thanks in advance Les

Not quite sure where you are looking, though you are right it is a settlement visa (even though it is only for 6 months). The form is "Application form VAF4A - Settlement"

You also need proof of finances (bank statements, savings, etc) ideally for the last 6 months. You have to provide these to your fiancee, and she provides them to the visa application centre in manila with her application - you provide nothing directly.

Lastly people mentioning CFO, what is that !

CFO is Commission on Filipinos Overseas. They insist that any filipino moving abroad to live with a foreign partner has to attend a guidance and counseling session where they take details and give information about living abroad. They then put a stamp in the attendee's passport. It is very important as without this stamp it is highly unlikely that your fiancee will be allowed to leave the Philippines.

your fiancee is the one who will submit the application form to the British Embassy visa section.Pls dont send your requirements pack to the visa application center instead send it to your fiancee.

Thank you very much for all the info its been a great help an clarified a few things. I did also make a list of the money ive sent to my new family via western union, which paid for food,girls schooling,medical treatment etc as thought that would help. The 1 thing still slightly confused about though. I read quite a bit on here about people sending a covering letter to manila to explain how we met,what weve done etc and i copied this letter putting in my own personal stuff, so i also send this to my fiance as i got the impression people where sending direct to manila. To answer your remaining question:

Anyone applying for Entry Clearance to the United Kingdom requires to be sponsored by a British Citizen. In this case, YOU will be your fiancee's sponsor. Consequently, your covering letter should clearly demonstrate that you can provide her with suitable accommodation and adequate financial support [without recourse to Public Funds, i.e. State Benefits] throughout the 6 months' duration of her visa. Also, you will need to prove that the two of you fully intend to marry within the same period.

The contents need to be as Arthur has said. You need to address the letter to the Embassy, but it always should be sent to them as part of your wife's application, not directly.
