I used to think it was all nonsense unitil a few years ago. I was going through a relationship breakup and the girlfriend at the time was always interested in it. When she'd gone to bed one night I looked up about our zodiac compatabilty. :NoNo: some sites were even predicting what we were going through and how it would end. Afterwards I looked up other matches I'd had in the past and all weren't very good. Naturally, I researched what my best matches were. A scorpio. I'm a cancer.

http://astrology.about.com/od/cancerlovematches/qt/CancerScorpio.htm

Glad to say I'm now with a scorpio and so far so good :BouncyHappy:

Just interested what others think? Any truth in astrology and zodiac compatability?

Relationships have more to do with mutual respect, understanding, love, than star signs.:doh

No.

I could make up some B.S. with fancy words, and you can be 100% safe in assuming that it will apply to at least 40% of the population.

Numerology,astrology,tea-leaf reading, psychic guides,life-maps,phrenology,the list is endless, dont believe a word of it,I even had my fortune told by a Zebra finch(yup, one of those small chocolate coloured finches they sell in UK pet shops)in Hong Kong:Erm:Had my plam read by a sikh palmist(the sort who always tell you you have an interesting face)he babbled on a bit about my starsign but nothing accurate,I think belief of anything is a personal thing, but when my horoscope tells me I am due a lottery-win and I dont even gamble it makes me wonder :Erm:As long as you believe that it has credence in your particular readings thats all that matters :)

Me neither but its a little like religion, some people set great store by it,others debunk it out of hand,I know a welsh guy who had his fortune told a few months ago, didnt know the lady, never met her before, cost him £25 for a 20 minute session but he said she was so accurate it made the hairs stand on the back of his neck :cwm24:Makes you wonder sometimes but theres always a niggling doubt with any of these things :Erm:

As far as I am concerned, astrology is as useful as the celebrity gossip magazines! Funny and charming at times, but a waste of everyones time..

Don't believe any of it:Erm::xxgrinning--00xx3:

Quote from a song by Manic St Preachers - 1985 "So God is dead, like Nietzsche said,
superstition is all we have left."

Gotta laugh at the horoscopes, the authors of these things are nothing but charlatans, and some get paid lots of money for it.

Due to the way the Universe moves the actual star sign are no longer valid as they have all moved a month into the next sign since they were established, which kind of tells you it's all :action-smiley-081:

I actually have a gift that allows me to read your tea-leaves across the Internet and through this forum....

I see from the way the virtual tea-leaves are lying that you were born at a very young age. As you grew older you got bigger and your hair got longer. When you were born you had a speech defect but this disappeared in your early years. I can see that you have a connection with someone from another country - Somewhere on the other side of the world, a long way away but in the same hemisphere. Looking ahead you should be careful with sharp knives and don't play in the traffic. The number 25 will make you feel happy later this week.

That's all for now

Your rising sign is the one to go with, not the approximate month you were born in, if you believe in astrology that is, but as a double libran I would say that of course:)
Chinese system seems to be more accurate, I am apparently a water rabbit.

I prefer the chinese one, dont believe any of them, but mine the wood dragon sounds like me :icon_lol:

A wood dragon is one of the most different Chinese astrology signs. People under his horoscope are stubborn, passionate, honest and brave all at the same time. People love to be around them and they are completely loved for their individuality and unique personality. Wood dragons are the guardian angels of life and make brave knights in shining Armour. People of this Chinese astrology just love to explore the world and try their luck in different career paths. Fortune always attracts them like magnet. When it comes to love and romance they are totally committed to their relationship.

Got to be better than plain old Capricorn right :Erm:

Let's not "knock it", folks! :NoNo: I'd like to acquaint the "doubters" with an experience I had in my formative years.

At Primary School, a black-haired, dark-skinned female classmate "predicted" I would die when I was ten years old. In the [evidently mistaken] belief that I was a healthy lad, I laughed it off. Shortly afterwards, I was rushed to hospital by ambulance. Turned out I'd a ruptured appendix ... and had to undergo emergency surgery outwith normal operating hours. Just as well, because my parents were informed it been "touch and go". This was in November 1954 ... when peritonitis was potentially lethal! I then had to have a "drain" inserted to clear the poison from my system ... added to which, I received twice-daily injections of penicillin in my :butthead: before being allowed home.

I've never forgotten that episode in my life ... when I very nearly died! :omg:

Well this is what my astrology said but never I believe in astrology. But sometimes it's nice to read if that tells something true and although it's true, it's still hard to believe.:BouncyHappy::cwm12:

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.
You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.
You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.
You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.
You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.
A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.
You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.
You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.
People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

But my husband said he married the right one!:omg::D:icon_lol:
He always push me to bet, gives me money to buy lottery, and scratch ticket.:omg:
He said he's buying lotto tickets for ages but no luck. I won 3 times but only small amount. I am bit tight when buying tickets, betting etc. But hubby is generous if I said I want to gamble.:icon_lol::xxgrinning--00xx3:
I remember when we where in Holland. My friend Cynthia is working at Casino. Me and hubby visited her at work. There are many machines but I don't understand what is written there as it is written in dutch. Hubby gave me money, he said just put coins inside and press any buttons you like!:omg:
I did it and I was shocked there were loads of coins coming from machine. :omg: It cost 80 euros. Hubby was happy and asking his principal + interest. But it is already inside my pocket.:icon_lol:

When I joined my friend for a monthly party at NAITAS(Association of Travel Agencies in Pinas) my friend used to buy a booklet of raffle ticket. Grand prize always trip to europe and america. I bought only 2 tickets each party and it cost 50 pesos each and I won 3 grand prizes in 1 year. :omg::icon_lol::BouncyHappy: My savings gone for visa processing and pocket money.:doh

I've never forgotten that episode in my life ... when I very nearly died! :omg:

On the other hand ... later in life, I had occasion to visit a gypsy fortune teller in her caravan at the Fife seaside resort of Burntisland.

Crossing my palm with silver, and gazing into her crystal ball [as is the archetypal soothsayer's wont] ... she proceeded to inform me that I'd have 3 kids - each of whom, would (as SHE put it) "do me proud" - and go to Canada.

Well, in the event, I have only TWO children (:Erm: that I KNOW of, anyway!! :lol2:) and ... yes, they're BOTH a source of pride. And, I also went to Canada [or, at least, crossed the Canadian Border]. But only fleetingly - on a whistle-stop, tour of Vancouver - whilst on a five weeks' holiday in the US, after I was widowed.

So I suppose, strictly speaking, it could be argued that the dear lady was two-thirds correct in her predictions!!
