Hi, I have seen on the forum the need to have photocopies of the evidence submitted for spouse visa - I am currently in the throws of printing of phone bills, emails etc, which is fine to double up, but we already prepared everything up to July this year - does my husband really have to photocopy all our letters, all the photographs that we have stuck in the evidence file etc?. Is it just the financial docs and originals that we need back that need copies - they can keep the pictures, we printed them for the application, we have our own.....
The photocopy shop will have a ball for about 4 hours doing all our papers...!

Hi. you don't need to photocopy all. just 1 a week or so, just so you have proof that you have constant communication.
i printed print screen pages of a few chat history, just to show hubby n I do chat regularly. no need for an entire photo album too, i just made about 10 pages of scrapbook type (photo and caption, around 3-4 pix each), few cards too. and sae goes with hubby's phone records and parcel receipts.
again, you do these just to establish the fact that you and ur partner are in constant communication.
good luck! mine took less than 6 wks, i hope yours do to!

all original documents need to be photocopied (birth cert, marriage cert etc). if hubby needs original copy of his wage slip back, then go ahead and photocopy. for all the originals will go back with your visa, and whatever doc u sent that has photocopies. just try not to over do it, the envelopes in VFS might not be enough for your docs (^_^).

thanks for your response maindyshelley - and for the boost that it could take only 6 weeks (fingers crossed). I'll stick to the financial stuff that I need back and photocopies of the original docs that I want back - saves a lot of hassle
are you here in the UK now? hope you're enjoying a snowy xmas
