im a british citizen now,married but was previously married in phils. does my ex have the right to file a case against me if i go back to phils for a couple of days?

hello and welcome aboard. you don't mind me asking what case is it and what is it all about. u see a problem shared is a problem halved :D. i already got a slight clue but would want to hear it from you because i maybe mistaken.

Do you mean that you got married in Phils and then got married again in the UK without divorcing you Filipino wife first?

I guess your right Iain, well, to file case is not that easy considering its just a couple of days only your gonna stay in Phil, second if you'll gonna meet purposely or accidentaly he/she might do some plan against you, if you did not separate nicely and you just run away on your relationship, I hope no children involve

:welcomex: Is it LIKELY your ex-husband will even KNOW you're in the Phils ... if you are only going to be there for such a short duration? :NoNo: Unless, of course, :rolleyes: the purpose of your visit actually INVOLVES him.

Your ex has the right to file a case against you wherever you are if your marriage is valid. If she knows what to do, he can file bigamy case against you even if you're in the UK.
There's a certain penalty amount for those who did such.

correct, and the penalty is prison back home at least.
