Hi all.
Quite simply, I'm looking to set up a bank account in the Philippines.
has anyone from the UK here done this before??
Hopefully it will be with Landbank.
The same bank as my Fiancee's
Are there any pitfalls in doing this, like charges etc...?
I do have my reasons.
Thanks alot.
Philip....:)

This is something I've been thinking about, so be interested to read what other say. I was thinking of opening a PNB account as I hear they have low transfer fees.

Hi Philip! OFW's used to prefer Landbank for remittance purposes because they have no maintaining balance like other banks. Deposit needed is only 100-200 pesos if you're in the Philippines.
It was my bank when I was still OFW.:D I don't think you can deposit or make an opening account from UK.
But then try to make a query or get in touch with their foreign subsidiaries.
