This I hope will mean something to someone ,or anyone, it certainly means a everything to me
Well,who believes in miracles?
My marriage had hit the rocks about 18 months previously so I wasn't too interested in "relationships"
It was 2005,Through mutual friends I met a Lady from the Philippines.
We only chatted for around 30 minutes, but in that time I learnt she was was staying with her sister ,near were I lived, and was due to return home in the autumn.
Time passed and we became friends and met up a few times and both found we enjoyed each others company.I even introduced her to my parents !
Just the usual "boy meets girl stuff",nothing more................
It came as a shock when we found that her flight home was brought forward, which meant suddenly, our time was cut short.
The following week I escorted her to Norwich airport.
As we approached the door the thought of not being able to see each other became hard to take.
I went with her to the KLM desk and stepped back whist she checked in.I then went to find somewhere we could talk, until her flight was called.
I began to realize how much i was going to miss her..standing
A few minutes passed.
I turned round and there she was ....standing there With her suit cases!!
It was like the movies..............................
She had managed to Change the return date.
We had a month together getting to know each other better,
we were in love !!
It became even harder the next time went to the airport.
This time she was off home...............
Huge phone bills and three months went by ,(.....or was it 3 years!), I had to go and see her ......
December came.
As I walked through Manila airport i saw this gorgeouse lady approaching me ....it was Rowena !
Had a wonderful time together ,Met some of her children and family .
Time to go home .
It felt as though i'd only just arrived!
2006 Weng (Rowena) Back in uk for six months, this time staying with me .
We didn't know how our Fiance Visa application would go as we had all the odds against us because of visa complications but we believed that Honesty was best policy.
The application and interview went through with no hitches ,and with lightening speed.
We Married AUGUST 18TH 2007 .
Weng has shown me family values that i never saw before and am now coming to understand .
The story doesn't end there............. the Vows we Made Still stand'They always will .
For richer or poorer ,in sickness and health......................
We can all dream but dreams sometimes get broken because of mis understandings and pride .
I love my wife so very much and I have God given Hope for the future.

Hi all, many thanks for your kind replies.
I noticed that I am listed as a "newbie" . I suppose ,to a point,thats true .
Actually I first joined abt July 2005,and was pretty active .
Had lots of kind help from the forum re;immigratilon, marraige, etc .................
So much family/life changing issues happened prior, and during, our marraige's earlier stage ( for abt 18 mnths)
No time for posting so I "disappeared".
I couldn't see my old id on the membership list so I guess i was dropped
Thats why I had to re-register.
If I was using my old id Ithink I would be classed as OAP by now !!!
Thanks agn for your replies.
Nice to be back.............

Great story and it is so nice to hear of other Fil-Brit marriages doing really well.
Yes, us English men are so lucky to have such beautiful wives inside and out.
If we treat our wives with the same respect, there is no end to the great feelings we share.
I never thought it possible to live every day without getting bored with a lady. It seems that the love we are showered with by our wives makes every day wonderful (well, except for the occasional tampo!).
Enjoy your life with your wife.
