FLR biometrics update
The UKBA have added a limited number of Post Offices to the “approved” locations
where postal applicants can get their biometrics done.
This policy seems to have come in over the last few weeks… so perhaps that’s why
there’s been a delay in sending out biometrics appointment letters.
See….

….. but the list is bizarre…
Beckenham is on the list (which would have been great for us 5mnths ago !), but is
only 5 miles from Croydon. So why bother ???
Bristol, a city of over 500,000 is not on the list ….
Romsey is on the list …. whereas Portsmouth or Southampton aren’t.
Stamford is on the list … whereas Ipswich or Norwich aren’t
I assume that the list will increase over time (especially as the Post Office are
charging you £8 for the service), but don’t hold your breath.
Note: ….. you STILL need the biometrics appointment letter (with the reference
number) to be able to use the Post Office service.
