As per the rules set out by the Immiigration and Nationality Directorate, "Life in the UK" test has to be given by individuals seeking Naturalisation. From 1st April 2007 people seeking Permanant Residence visa are also required to give this examination.
All those who are planning to give the examination before 1st April 2007 will be tested on Chapters 2,3 and 4 of the the First Edition of the "Life in the UK: A Journey towards Citizenship" handbook. After 1st April 2007 you will be required to study the Second Edition of the Book "Life in the UK".
