finally lodged my application today for spouse visa...so now the waiting begins :)
for those who's going to submit their application..don't forget to bring other ID with picture to leave at the guard boot of the eco building or they wont let you in...:doh i dont have any aside from my passport so imagine the 20 mins explaining with them the guard seems has no consideration and accept no explanation....luckily i got their officers attention and give them the go signal to let me in...well of course i need to leave my baby's passport and old sss and tin ID's :)

Goodluck to ur application. how did you arranged the documents? did you label the documents? did they allowed u to put clips para lang maayos yun pagkaka separates ng doc? and wht are those documents u've submitted, just wanted to know coz ur the latest here who just lodge the appication at VFS. and abt the settlement application, just a bit confused, did you fill in the " 8.5 Other Dependents " portion of the application form?

i arranged the docs base on the checklists order of documents....i staple the docs to separate them..same with the photo copies.
documents i have submitted are:
my passport
my husbands copy of his old and new passport and birthcertificate
rent book, rent contract, letter from the landlord and photos of the house
gas bill, electricity bill, council tax
my husbands employment contract, payslip and bank statement (both a period of six months)
letter of support from my husband
old letters from husband, skype credit print out and chat logs from skype, western union receipts, my husbands OR in sending me money through bank.
a copy my birthday certificate from NSO
a copy of our marriage contract from NSO
a copy of our babys birth certificate from NSO and from british embassy, a copy of our sons british passport
my college diploma
my transcript of records
photos of us and our son
regarding question section 8.5...i left them blank.

he is turning two years old next month...i told on my application that i will traveling with my son that's it. as far as i know there's no need for my son to apply for a visa as he is recognized as british..( he got the british birthcertificate and british passport)...anyone knows if this is correct? :)

Yes you are correct, your son does not need a visa as he has his british passport.

hi gparry, i just want to ask why dit it take you this long to apply for a spouse visa? i am applying for 1 myself and i just want to know if i should postpone it too for a while like you did.

hi mdelmundo...my husband was on contract (work) for a long time as he did great a lot of money compare of getting a regular job in the UK. we have planned to settle in philippines so not bother to get spouse visa that early until recession came..not much work and pounds continue to fluctuate so changed plans. he get regular job in the uk and re establish himself there. after getting everything we needed for the application we applied for visa and was lucky to get in just one week after it has been processed..im in the uk now since May.

Hi gparry, i've submitted my application yesterday. And now, just like everyone else that has applied for a visa, I am patiently waiting for the embassy's decision. Been away from my husband for 5 months now so I am really hoping and praying a lot to hear good news soon. Thanks to the forum for providing helpful information.
