myself and another member of this forum used the services of a fantastic UK lawyer who specialises in immigration ,foreign adoption ,appeals etc. she told me recently that other people who have contacted her at the appeal stage did not realise that a brit here in UK can usea lawyer here for the visa application for their asawa.
my point is, as you do not allow advertising how can we promote her to assist our fellow forumees to be successfull with there applications.

one thing that did stand out to me was that some of the advice given from other forum members was either out of date or not correct at the time of my application so it is important that everything is up to date.

Thanks John,

I know what you mean about advice being out of date - this is more down to Immigration and UK Visa always changing the rules and re-arranging the goal posts, and I agree it can be frustrating. I'll let Keith decide on that advertising - he da boss!

I don't agree with any lawyer being involved in the immigration process. I consider it a rip-off. All the information required is easy enough, and everyone who has used this forum and Pete's site has not failed in getting there visa.

We always direct folk to the IND for the latest info. Whether they move the goal posts or not, it is still the same basics that apply.

ok keith i respect your opinion but as my fiancees visa application was complicated due to my circumstances i found my lawyer to be excellent and when she said that her greatest pleasure is when she stuffs the embassy i knew whos side she was on. and fixed price for the job not hourly rate.

Nothing is complicated, all the information required is there for free. Nothing the embassy/IND has not seen before and could advise you on.

That is why this forum is here, to help folk do it for as cheap as possible without the need for blood suckers.
