Hi, I need your opinion guys. It goes like this,
My husband presently have a 2 savings account. One account have a
GBP3200+ and the other account has a GBP1000. All were submitted in 6months. He has also what he called Building Society Account amounting to GBP1500. We also submitted his current account which was unfortunately overdrawn. He has a permanent job and it pays him well and also got his own house as well. Aside from I have my own personal saving amounting to P250t.
My question and it worries me, will it affect my spouse visa bec of the overdrawn current account of my husband?
Thanks and I hope you can enlightened me...

If it's just one monthly statement overdrawn it would probably be OK, but it could make a big difference if his current account is regularly overdrawn. If it's regularly overdrawn then it looks like he is already living beyond his means even before he has a wife to support.

Well actually I cant remember what ive submitted in pertains to his current account. So it will still have an effect bec of overdrawn account?
many thanks to you IanBusby.....

you really shouldn't send statements that are overdrawn, but like Iain has said if its just one then you shouldn't have a problem, some people have been refused for sending overdrawn bank statements, but usually not for sending just one over drawn one..
but you have money in other accounts so i'm sure that the ECO will take that into account when they also see any overdrawn statements..

If there is an issue as you should have done is explain that although the current account overdrawn there is money else where which more than covers it and the reason why you have it that way in your cover letter..
Just make sure you explain if asked and show evidence that he can support u thats all the uk visa people are lookign for. But want the info on a plate

Hi,
fingers cross i got an answer :)
hubbie and i will be applying for spouse visa, both of us are working and hubbie will present his bank account, plus his parents statement as we will be temporarily living with his parents when we move to UK.Shall i present my bank statement as well, will this help? I will have only about 4k as i am spend it all for hols, travelling 3 times a year. i am not sure if this amount is enough, however my hubbie will have about 10k. which could be enough as he is my main sponsor of what i read here.

As long as your sponsor has savings (and 10K is plenty) it doesn't matter how much you have, they want to know that you can be supporte in the UK by the sponsor - if it makes you feel better then submit your account - but don't worry about how much is in it
