Hi,

My filipino fiancée and I are about to apply for a fiancée visa for her to come here in the UK.. We have collected all the required documents for the application and I have one last question I couldn't answer yet.

Should I (the sponsor) submit the original documents (passport, bank statements, pay slips..) or photocopies are enough? In case of photocopies, should they be certified in any way?

Since my work require frequent travelling abroad I'm unable to submit my original passport with the application. Could this be a problem?

Thanks for your help,
Fed

Yes, indeed, :iagree: ... the British Embassy is aware of the difficulties it would entail for the applicant's partner to surrender his/her actual passport in situations like yours. Also, the Entry Clearance Officers have their own means of checking its validity in any event - without holding the original.

Originals of the other documents will, however, require to be furnished.
