You may have found also the Embassy will have had other pressing issues such as holy week(holidays) and the ash crisis to deal with.
Also over the years I have been on this site and others the between march and September seems to be peak time for visa applications.

Im sure you will have good news soon:xxgrinning--00xx3:

its just luck that some one got one in a week, last year it was taking on average nearly 3 months..

so stop worrying, as long as you get your visa, that's all that counts :xxgrinning--00xx3:

We've been waiting for 4 weeks and today my fiancee got her email saying that the application was ready for collection at VFS and to come and pick it up. Now I'm scared.. is it approved or not, we will soon see. I'm actually surprised because I thought it would take longer after she was asked to take all the documents out of their neat and ordered folders, only to stick it into one big pile without much order :Rasp: doh.

Wish us luck.

i always thought the '30 days' were actually 'office days' (5 per week)? ..therefore 30 days in their terms = 6 weeks, not 4

Congratulations Sparky....it sure tries your patience. good luck at the CFO...you need to get there VERY early as its firstc ome first served and only the first 12 or 15 get to do it on the day.so if your not in the que then its back the next day! Your wife needs to prepare for questions about your family etc eg mothers birth date maiden name etc.
