My husband wishes to takes us for a christmas break to the Czech Republic, i will be shortly arriving in the UK on my Spouse visa, is this also a 'a valid UK residence permit'? Can i apply for a Schengen Visa before i get the ILR in two years time?
It states that as long as i'm married to a UK National & we have the Marriage certificate to prove it, i can travel to the Czech Republic, it is only a postal serice & the visa is free of charge.
Has any other members here travelled into Europe or Beyond on visas before getting the ILR, any advices greatly appreciated.

My wife traveled to Schengen countries with Filipinos passport from Canada.
I don't see why you should be denied.

yes, you can travel in any countries even if you're only holding a spouse visa, you just need to apply a visa to that certain country where you plan to travel.

i have travelled to germany & paris even if i dont have ILR yet, i just applied for a schengen visa, it was quick, no hassle & free of charge if you're a spouse of a British national or EU citizen.
