Bank Details

Hi All,
I will lodge my application in September for a spouse visa after we get married this coming July. In that time his bank details will show 3 months agreed overdraft due to his house remortgage and also because of his divorce and another incoming 3 months which have no more overdraft. Will this effect my spouse application?

But can anyone tell me someone that has been refused a visa because they have been overdrawn. As the visa process is providing information about proof of his income. As his solicitor explained to him they are looking for minimum income of 800 pounds per month and he is earning more on that every month. What grounds do they have to refuse my visa incase?

dont show any bank statements that are overdrawn!!

make sure all statements are always at least £2000 plus in them, i would wait until you have 6 months statements :D

Yes i hear what your saying but you not exsplain why?

I have read on this forum that people have been granted Visa with £500 in there acounts so why £2000?
Why not show a bank account with a legal overdaft?
I not see proof of anyone yet that has not been granted a visa because of having a overdraft. The only ones i have seen here on this forum that have been refused a visa are because they had a overdraft AND ALSO THAT THEY CANNOT PROVE THERE INCOME ALONG WITH OTHER REASONS..

isnt all overdrafts legal?, a overdraft is a debt ie loan to the bank showing you own them money, is that hard to understand?

the point of 6 months bank statements is to show that you have enough money to support your new wife. The statements should show saving and monthly income ie wages and out going bills, showing you are overdrawn on any of them ie you owe the bank money wont help :Erm:

i think its best you get your hubby to get 6 months statement without any being overdrawn!! :)

So his income is very good it will show that and also prove that he can support me if i needed him to.It will also PROVE his Re-Morgage problems and his divorce settlement.
This having £2000 in the bank proves nothing:doh And what i read is a lot of people take out a loan and then they submit statments after the loan has been deposited.

His WIFE SAYS .....
She said she'd reached her conclusion because my bank statements show an average overdraft of £1,000 to £2,000 each month.
So again i see no proof:D

No an overdraft is not illegal. Even if it is unauthorised. It is of course a 'debt.' Being overdrawn might be slightly different and issuing a cheque when you know you will not have the funds to meet it is an offence of fraud

Whilst I can see the argument that having a healthy balance is better, the fact that a bank has approved an overdraft means they have confidence in you. In fact as I have never had an overdraft, nor for many years a loan nor a mortgage I probably have a very poor credit rating.

I see no facts/proof to back up your advice :Erm:
You say £2000 in the bank but if your read the forum there are people here already with visa that had £500 in the bank.
Also you give me a link to read that says..

Maybe its better for someone else to give us advice?
As the orignal question was will this effect my visa.
IE- Has anyone been refused a visa for JUST being overdrawn..NO OTHER REASONS?

If your partner have done his budgeting and he can show that he have enough money for living after paying the rent, loan repaymetns etc, that should be all right. ECO doesn't expect you to be millionaire after all. Your sponsor(partner) should of course, draw out a budget for them to see and provide a cover letter explaining the financial plan.

Ok thank you Ate Mari for your advice. This is what me and my future husband thought. As my fiance has now moved through the huge financial cost of a new mortgage and divorce he can easily prove he can cover the cost of supporting me if needed. It's good to hear constructed comments from people that understand the system. :):):xxgrinning--00xx3::)
