Its for cleaning the toilet and for having a shower. Unless you don't have a bog brush or a shower head you shouldn't need one.

I must admit Steve, I have asked myself the same question :xxgrinning--00xx3:

my feet would not fit in the bucket size 12, you see we all think something but hope someone else says it :icon_lol:

Of course Steve, if you are a dab hand at simple plumbing, you could install a tap on a hose, no need for a bucket then, I may do that. :)

I take it you mean a scoop, I would be worried if there was a scope:)
Did you also notice that there was probably no toilet paper:erotic4: they follow the same customs as a lot Asia, unfortunately there never seems to be any soap around as well:doh

Using the scoop to flush makes you realise how little water you can use to flush the toilet. Bearing in mind we waste 2 gallons every time we flush over here.

Which is why we only flush once a week... although it does take a bit of stamping to get rid of it all....

If the stamping fails to push it through, disconnect from the other side of the 'u' bend and suck :xxgrinning--00xx3:

for those of us that are regular visitors or expats to asia the hose/scoop is far more hygienic than just paper

Steve, do your pot pot stuff while at home and making sure that when you do find some soap make sure it is in the different hand that you use to wash your bum with.
I didn't know this:NoNo:
When Jane went to use the shower (bucket of water with scoop and bloody cold water!!) she thought the soap I brought with me from the UK had grits in to clean the skin:NoNo: how wrong was she, in fact the family had been using it as well, thinking the same, a new idea from the UK
Needless to say, Jane was not impressed when see watched me do my thing on the toilet while sharing the same bar of soap:NoNo::NoNo:
Jane does it the western way here, Steve. Always have from day one:xxgrinning--00xx3:
No scoops, no buckets:NoNo:
Thank goodness:xxgrinning--00xx3:
