Hi welcome to the forum...
Here are some list that might help you.

- Search for the application form ( Settlement form VAF4 Oct 2007) You can find this on the UK Border Agency website and print that off. You might need to photocopy the application form for you to practice and not make mistakes on the actual form that you are going to submit. Its best to have written all the information so the embassy could see that you are capable of writing.

- CFO certificates of attendance. I was told you need to staple that on your passport together with the sticker all the time when you have your visa. Because even if you have the visa and you havent got these certifiactes and sticker the immigration at the airport will not let you go. Tough:action-smiley-081:

- Old passports if you have any
- Evidence of adequate accommodation ( You need to give the description of the house, photos, how many lives there, proof of agreement, etc)
- Copy of husband's passport including the pages with stamps. Need to be atested by a consul or a solicitor.
- Husband's bankstatements from the last 6 months
- Husband's payslips from the last 6 months
- Husband's employment certificate from the employer/company he works with
- P60
- Proof of financial support
- Proof of communication like emails, phone bills, love letters and cards, your wedding photos, receipts, etc

- Wife's NSO Birthcertificate
- NSO Marriage Certificate
- Husband's birthcertificate if you can provide
- Annullment/ Divorce papers relating to any previous marriages
- Letter of support from husband (you can ask for help from the forum on what to put on it)
- Wife's certificates or diplomas to show the level of education.
- JOb offer if theres any

Im sure our friends here in the forum will provide the rest of the information you will need.

Dont know about the process as im just about to apply for a spouse visa soon. They said it takes about 4 to 6 weeks.

Goodluck!:)

they will require you to show the original payslips, bank statements except for his passport. Full copy and atested by a consul or a solicitor.
They will send you back the originals apart from your birthcertificates and marriage contract.

what its means LETTER OF SUPPORT FROM HUSBAND?

what its means LETTER OF SUPPORT FROM HUSBAND?

Your husband will be required to act as your Sponsor. Accordingly, his Letter SHOULD, in effect, be a declaration that he will provide adequately-suitable living accommodation and ... equally important ... support you financially in the UK - without recourse to Public Funds, i.e., Government Benefits.

Good Luck with your application ... and :welcomex: to the forum.

also say a little aqbout how you met and since then what you ahev been doing to help and support each other over the period of time , what she means to you and what you mean to her , you can never say to much about love and romance in this letter but also pratical things like arthur has mentioned too, if you are stuck i have a copy of mine just read that and see if that helps you :)

can anybody advise mw about my phone bills, they are ticketless so therefore only available online to print out, will this be accepted for the spouse visa?:)

5olidsnake
1st July 2010, 21:52
i dont know if your phone bills will be ok

many companies offer paperless billing and it saves you a few quid.
but you need original statements/bills (bank, gas, water and electricity etc) in joint names mr&mrs in the future for ILR
so i avoided paperless billing

There is no need to do that. Me and my asawa got confused about that before so i rang up the British Embassy in Manila to find out and we were told that its not really necessary. Besides they only follow whats on the guidance list. Just a full copy of the sponsor's passport including the pages with stamps on it.:)

hello!gud pm.i just wanna if anyone who apply visa have u done a biometric or not im just confused?cause i read that mostly sent the visa app.by courier.

stevie c
7th July 2010, 08:32
hi it is the british embassy regulation that the applicant must submitt there application personally so they can have there biometrics done so you must attend there in person

rusty
7th July 2010, 08:46
Yes, the applicant has to go to the VFS to submit their application and have the biometrics done.

With reference to the courier, this is an additional service that when your application is processed, rather than having to go back to the VFS to collect your passport, you can pay to have it couriered to you. You pay for this when you submit you application.

Its best to get everything clear. If you can get the Registry to make such correction about your age the better for the application and no more doubts and questions from the vfs as it might delay or cause any problems with your wife's application.:)

my mother in laws surname was typed incorrectly on our marriage contract and cause no harm with regards to our application when we applied...your case is obviously just a typo error and i am confident the ECO is smart enough to make decision out of that...but of course it is always better be on the safe side...
