Hi, my contact po ako sa isang british family and they want to get me as a nanny. Nalilito lng po ako sa immigration guidlines na ito which is to be followed when you try to get a domestic visa:

"Under the UK Immigration rules, one of the important requirements is that the applicant for a domestic worker visa must have previously worked with the employer for at least one (1) year prior to the date of application. It is thus necessary to show that there is a connection between the applicant and the employer."

Nandito po ako sa philippines, it means po ba na nobody from the Philipines can start a new job as a domestic helper in UK?

what other ways i can do para maka kuha ng visa?

Pls help me I really need a job?

we are more about settlement visa here....we cant give you as much as information about working visa...but maybe some might help you just try to speak english.....so everyone can understand you specially those brits....

Like eljean said we don't :NoNo: know much about nanny visas. There are plenty of filipina nannies in west london and I am pretty certain this one specialises in nannies & domestic staff.
Leave it too the family & the lawyer, there is very little you can do yourself :Erm:

Be careful you use someone who knows the law both phill and brit. Which im sure the above Lawyer does.

I have heard though the Wife of people who come over here thinking they are on a work visa finding out its a student visa and then they face the tricky situation of becoming a ilegal in the UK or returning once the visa is up.

I wish you the best of luck, and although few of us know about work/nanny visa if you have any other questions do post them people maybe able to help.

As what I know you can not apply directly here in UK as a domestic worker.Unless they are your previous employer in other countries like Singapore, Hongkong or Middle East.They are aloud to bring one helper if they can afford the expenses and it takes time for the processing of the application.And don't try to approach an agency they just get your money, huge amount but the truth is no job for you.There's no law here concerning hiring a domestic staff outside.Yes there are some Filipinas here working as domestic or nanny but they enter the country together with the employer from other countries and their employer asign to another country they remain because they got their visa here so they just renew and find another employer. That what I know same as in America.
