I have learned from one of the threads in this forum that it will only take less than an hour to get the philippines version of CNI, but i have also read in this site " http://ukinthephilippines.fco.gov.uk/en/help-for-british-nationals/living-in-the-philippines/how-to-apply-for-a-cni/ " that you will to wait for 24 hours before it will be released. is this a new guideline?

I visited Uk Embassy in Manila this past April and my CNI was issued whilst me and the wife waited , they were quite busy because it was last day of businnes before public holiday , total time waiting a little over 4 hours .

based on our experience it only took few minutes to get the CNI certificate for my hubby.:xxgrinning--00xx3: and im sure others didnt take longer than 1 hour to have that certificate as long as you have all the necessary documents with you. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

hello steve
when my hubby got his CNI change to Philippine version, the documents that we show was his CNI from UK, his birth certificate, my CENOMAR and NSO birth certificate...and we just had to wait for 20 mins for the process

*Pay the CNI fee
Payable only in Philippine Pesos and in cash at the current Consular rate of Exchange
*Original UK passport
