View Full Version : anyone in aberdeen?
Hey guys!
I just moved up to Aberdeen for work, still getting used to this place and I wish to make some filipino friends, feeling a bit homesick as I havent been back for 5 years now!
About myself,
I'm half British, half Filipino, I'm a Oil and Gas Engineer, very tall (well in filipino terms :)). I can speak tagalog, but not that well :S ive been told i look like Aga Mulak (lol), but I really dont think I do at all.
Hope to hear from you,
John

:68711_thanx: for sharing your background information with us. Haven't a clue what the person you're [supposed] to resemble looks like, so cannot comment. But as an oil & gas specialist you could always "engineer" the opportunity of acquiring one of these Aga Stoves as a good source of protection against the cold, north east winds!! :36_1_26[1]:

Aga Muhlach look? cool! :)
I'm sure you will eventually meet a lot of Filipinos in Aberdeen... just don't be afraid to approach and ask orientals so you'll find out whether they're Filipinos, Chinese, etc . You never know you might come across one... :)

hi john, penny correct, i have a place in fraserburgh (40 miles north of aberdeen) and there are lots of filippno fishermen, and i would imagine that peterhead (30 miles north of aberdeen) would be the same as well. with aberdeen still having a fishing fleet based there they will more than likely have some filippno fishermen working and staying there. hope you are enjoying your time in aberdeen (the city of my birth :D)
