View Full Version : My poor car.....

At the beginning of May, someone decided to remodel the back end of my car, and the claim is still ongoing, not by fault of the culprits insurance company, but by my own insurance company's approved repairers.....:doh
I phoned regularly and religiously every week, at least twice, to get something or the other moving along, so that my car would get sorted, but to no avail.
I took the opportunity today again, as I was reporting another incident, and still no joy at all.....:cwm23:

Anyway, it seems that my car has been attracting the wrong kind of attention from the bin men now.....:bigcry:

They came around today collecting the reciclable stuff, and in all their wisdom they managed to get a wheelie bin to drop on the bonnet of my car, which was innocently parked up' since last night, on the side of the road...:NoNo:

This is the incident I was referring to....:doh

Now my own insurance will have no alternative, in the light of this new claim, but to recommend for the car, that served me so well and faithfully for so many years, to be scrapped....:bigcry::bigcry:
The only bright point of it all is that I took legal protection and also hire car cover, so I will be able to have the use of a brand new something or the other on 4 wheels for 21 days.....:D
That should make "her" indoors pretty chuffed at taking pictures galore of her good self near the new car....:Erm:

In case it gets scrapped, I wish I could buy it back, so I would be able to use it in part exchange towards another vehicle, and top it up with the insurance payment.

Don't I half feel :Sex:ed, tho....:doh

i just found out that my car is worth £1600 with a trade in, ok its 7 years old but the insurance, tax and mot together put a service will cost more than its worth :censored:, keeping a car more than a few years and put a few miles on it and it becomes worthless :bigcry:

Ain't finished yet....:NoNo:

But only this morning they were painting the lines around two beautiful disabled parking bays....:D

For special consideration for a friend, I did ask the workmen nicely if they could place them nearer my end of the building, and they did...!!!!!:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Due to my dodgy ticker, I may be able to apply for one of them badges for the car....:Erm:

What have you been driving since the accident in May? I would have thought that the cost of paying for a courtesy car for you would have been enough for them to get a move-on (or the insurance company to hassle the accident repairers into getting on with it)?!

I should be getting mine back in a few days time after the accident at the end of May! :)
