Hi everybody. I am a Filipina and married to an Irishman. We are currently living in a small town here in Ireland. My husband and I have decided to try to work and live in UK because we believed I have better oppurtunities to have more filipino campany (the towm were I am now is so quite and no filipinos to whom I can mingle with) and also for me to find work. I am an agriculturist and I believed I can find some opprtunities in my field since I got my degree from an EU country. I am sure it is not easy to work in my field but I am willing to do any type of work while looking for opportunities in my field. The important thing is for me to find one as early as possible when we are in Uk. Our problem is: we are not sure which city would be the best to go in our situation. We are hoping to go to Manchester but some insights from anybody would be useful. Thank you vry much.

I would have thought that Wales, could have more to offer on the agriculture side of things, because it is home to several well
known agricultural colleges.
Besides, the cost of living in Wales, especially in the North is far cheaper than manchester, and a stone throw away from Ireland, if you feel like popping home for the week-end...:D

I live in Somerset which is a very rural place with the main work being farming. There are Filipino Associations in Yeovil and Taunton that I know of, and probably more elsewhere in the county.
