Funnily enough, Mhae ... Myrna & I went to Paris for a few days in March - a year after she settled in the UK. What you'll need is called a *Schengen Visa. Thankfully *it's issued free of charge to the spouses of British Citizens ... and is available from the French Consulate at Randolph Crescent in Edinburgh on presentation of your Passport & Marriage Contract. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

As an afterthought ... since you're living away up in Aberdeenshire, Mhae ... I would suggest first contacting them - either in writing, by telephone or online - explaining you are already married to a British Citizen, and will be applying for FLR in November, i.e. prior to your proposed trip.
Accordingly, the details are as follows:
French Consulate,
11 Randolph Crescent,
EDINBURGH
EH3 7TT
Telephone: 0131-225-7954
email address: contact.edimbourg-fslt@diplomatie.gouv.fr
This would enable you to arrange an appointment for presenting your documents - along with 2 additional *photgraphs [*check for size(s) required] - in person, necessitating only one visit. Processing normally takes around 2/3 weeks ... after which, your passport will be returned to you by mail with the visa enclosed. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
