hi everyone this is going to go on a bit so get a cuppa and read on, i met a girl from cebu city jan 2010 on line we used to chat everyday on line , we were getting on just great, this girl had a 9yr old daughter but was not with the father , he used to turn up and beat her , anyway on the 16th may2010 we were chatting as normal and we said our goodnights etc, and she was very happy and smiling , then wham that was it no contact , i have been searching ever since , i was told that the ex had beaten her up and she was in hospital, i contacted the hospitals but she was,nt, a friend hinted that she was in prison , i contacted them but they did not reply, a week or so i managed to contact an aunt who lives in the usa, and between us we have tried to trace this girl, the aunt contacted the ex and his mother who is a lawyer and they have the daughter, they said the girl i am trying to contact they put her in a drug rehab centre called cebu city rehabilitation and treatment centre , waterfront lahug, and she wont be getting out untill jan 2011, the aunt has asked for the phone number of this place but the grandmother refuses to give it , and says that no one can talk to her she is not allowed any calls, i have been unable to locete this place or its phone number, we think she is being kept there against her will as the ex is to marry agaain and we think he wants her out the way untill this happens and he will have the daughter, i need help to locate this place or a number for it or anyone in phili that can help, i contacted the british embassy but they did not get back to me , if she is being held against her will how do i proceed, any ideas, thanks for reading sorry its a bit long,

maybe she could be in the famous 'Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center' (CPDRC)

maybe the governor can help you http://byronfgarcia.com/page1.aspx

It seems there are still unsettled issues between them, it could be the custody of their daughter, his mother is a lawyer.
You could hire a private investigator.

we think the grandmother is behind this detention as she has heard that she is talking to me and is afraid that her granchild will leave the country, its been over 4 months now i just want to get word to her to let her know we are trying to help, she must be feeling so alone .

as beppe says it might be worth hiring a PI to find her, and see whats going on..
maybe the grandmother is trying to get custody of the child, as you need custody for the child to leave the phils.
