hello,

im a british citizen who married my british fiance on the beautiful island of boracay nearly a year ago...

i am currently in the process of changing my name on my passport, driving license, bank...etc...when i came across my residence status on our marriage certificate...it says im a resident of boracay island, aklan, this is wrong information which i did not submit when applying for our marriage license...

will this cause problems for me...it says i am a british citizen...it says i was born in the uk...but i just dont any hassle...would it be easier for me to just change my name by deed poll then submit the deed poll papers to change my name...or will i able to re-marry my husband here in the uk and get a uk marriage certificate.

any replies are greatly appreciated.

kind regards

I'm a bit confused.

Were you born in the United Kingdom ?

Oh, got it now...you had to be a temporary resident there to marry.

some places you have to be in residence so many days before you can marry there , do you think this may be the case there ,
