okay.. just make sure payable to british embassy only... no more manila coz they wont accept it... i went there last sept bringing my managers chek b.e-manila they say they wont accept with manila now.. so i paid in cash in unionbank.. payable to b.e.... we just do the application on our own no agency coz they let us pay flight in advance which is not mandatory to book flight in advnce...lol...:Jump::Jump::Jump::Jump::Jump::Jump:
and right now, im counting days to wait my visa result...prayers are the best thing to have though... God has reasons for everything...win or lose...

After reading Ladybug's response to your question, I'm assuming you're about to marry ... in which case, I would highly recommend referring to some extremely useful guidelines towards applying for UK Settlement [Fiance(e)/Spousal] Visas. These were compiled fairly recently by one of our newly-appointed Trusted Members ... and can be accessed using the following link:

Best wishes to you both for your BIG day! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

we applied for visit visa to marry in bristol england.. and come back within 6 months...hopefully visa will be granted , thats the only thing we can have marriage.. which is in the uk and not here due to many paperworks and he came here thrice .. nov. 2009, march 2010 and august 2010.. in a 11 day visit here in cebu.. so we cannot have marry here coz the marriage license will be 10 days.. so we decided to marry in uk.. and besides i still work. hope many willl pray to have a good result on the visa application... its the only thing we can do to marry.. needs to legally mixed our names.. hahahhaha... Hi Katerry...Did you mean fiance visa?
I don't legally think it's possible to marry on a visit visa? as a visit visa is for what it says...visiting
Perhaps someone with more knowledge can clear this up?

hi sim1 uk,
nope, its not fiancee visa that im applying for.. i did the special marriage visit visa... its like a visit visa but not general visit, its a special visit intended to marry only and after the wedding u need to go home to the philippines ....that wod b within 6 months... :Jump::Jump::Jump::Jump:... we didnot use an agency coz its very risky to apply the marriage visit.. so what i did.. me and my fiancee help each other to cmplete all paperworks in just 1 month.. and last september 28, i went to vfs.. today im waiting for the verdict of the application...and as what i always say.. God is good all the time..

No. It's a condition of a visitors visa that you do not intend to marry while in the UK. Immigration Rules state:
"The requirements to be met by a person seeking leave to enter the United Kingdom as a general visitor are that he:...
......(x) does not, during his visit, intend to marry or form a civil partnership, or to give notice of marriage or civil partnership"
If you come to the UK to marry but do not intend to settle here, you must apply for a marriage visa. Form VAF1F
