Secrets of staying young? Keep yourself happy..enjoy life..no matter what your problems are, where you live, the kinds of people surrounding you..if you have a positive outlook in life, you would forever stay young..and of course being in love helps too..well in love with the right person of course..;) :D :heartshape1:

Guess you would expect me to say eat a well balanced diet, exercise regularly, drink alcohol in moderation and don't smoke :) Laughter is also a good medicine :icon_lol: Having a positive attitude does help - the optimist sees the doughnut, the pessimist sees the hole :doh
But there's also an element of luck ...it's in your genes (have your parents lived to a good age?), you may be lucky to have good friends and supportive family. We all know people who look young but seem to live unhealthy lives ! Bahala na :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Echoing much of what has already been said - stress is a big one for showing an age even greater than what you actually are.

In the last couple of years i have been living clean, healthy and with faith and its been working wonders both inside and outside :xxgrinning--00xx3: Definitely feeling younger than 35 that's for sure :)

You've either got a 'young' personality or you haven't.

Physically, I think most of it is genes.

The sun (excess) does more ageing than anything to Caucasians I reckon.

You only need to look at the residents of places like Florida and Australia for evidence of that.
'White' folk were not evolved to live in such climates, and skin like a prune by the age of 50 is the result.

Plenty of exercise and proper diet helps overcome the stress factor.
So many people seem to eat out or have fast food type rubbish nowadays.
I cook 99% of my food at home, then know what I'm putting into my (ageing) body.

Most women subract from their age, then they divide it, and then they extract its square root.

As you get older three things happen.
The first is your memory goes, and then..........
Mm I can't remember the other two. :doh

Anyway, I have every intention to live forever.
So far, so good. :D

I think the problem is, the longer you stay single the more you get set in your ways, and though I often think I would like to have a partner again, question is....would it now be like an 'invasion of privacy' ?

I'm actually quite content being single again (didn't get married til 40 anyway), and I will have the company of my son for another couple of years before he's off to Uni'.

Maybe things will change after that.

Going back to topic: Having younger people around you also keeps you young in some ways, but if you want a real boost....try hanging out with PROPER old people, the ones who call you SON. :icon_lol:

What happened to you saddened me Mick...I could introduce a friend of the wifes to you, she's actually a member here, but dosen't get on here much.

You can do things on a budget...never say never. :)

Hi Sim11uk,
If she is happy to be a friend then yes I would like a chance to get to know her, if she is an ordinary member does she know much about my 2008 marriage?
I would of course explain it to her.

I will send you a private post

Actually the food you eat is an important component in prolonging life. Eat sugar free, salt free and fat free stuff and you will succeed in this
