Can anyone tell me the rules regards ILR. Do you have to be in the UK at least 2yrs before you can apply for that.? Also how long you got to be in UK before you can apply for citizenship... is that 3yrs???
I am talking about a spousal settlement situation.

Yes ... although a Spousal Visa is valid for 27 months - effective from the date of its issue - the holder is eligible to apply for ILR two years after his/her arrival in the UK. Applications for British Citizenship can be made - by a spouse and/or civil partner - one year later. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

yes its 2yrs, but the earliest you can apply is upto -28 days b4 you've been in the UK 2yrs and the latest a couple of days b4 your visa expires.
and for citizenship you needed to have been in the uk the day the H/O receive your app - exactly 3yrs.
