Hi Steve,
I got hold of the Home Office letter my wife received when she got FLR
It is addressed to her Married Name.
Carina just got back from work (that's why I'm a long time to reply)
She can remember everything.
She said the only time she entered her name as it appears on the passport was when it specifically requested. All other entries were made in her married name. She signed in her married name. (first she signed in her maiden name, by mistake then crossed it out and signed in her married name hahaha---- the guy at Croydon just smiled and said it's usual)
Where the form asks for 'any other names' you do not enter anything.... unless Emma is presenting any other documents with a different name on. (I would suggest just follow the marriage cert. they should have asked for any other names known as)
When Emma signs the form she should sign in her married name.
(legally makes no difference as she can use maiden or married name --- normally though it's married name)
She just needs to practice how to sign her new married name now:D

By the way Steve, it's a good time to get ready for ILR with documentations. (yeah I know it's a way to go yet but..)
The ILR current requirements include:-
Note 8 We need 6 letters or other documents addressed to you jointly or in both your names. If you do not have enough items in your joint names, you may also provide items addressed to each of you individually if they show the same address for both of you. Examples of acceptable letters and documents are listed below. They must be originals.
The dates of the letters or documents should spread over the whole 2 years. They should be from at least 3 different sources.
If you have not already done so may I suggest getting some of your utility bills changed to Mr S XXXXXX & Mrs E XXXXXX
Some utilities make it easy others do not.
(When we did ours BT refused to have more than one name on the bill)
Also may I suggest that Emma opens a bank account in her own name
(again sorry if you already did this)

Steve, just a thought...
After we were married Carina used her maiden name as her middle name.
Sort of phils tradition to include family names somewhere.
Anyways, just something to think on. Carina was very happy to do that.
(my idea)
Not a double barrel thing just as a middle name.
