I want to buy my hun a portable music player as she gets so bored during the long, long power cuts! One way would be to buy via UK Amazon but I'm not sure if that would work and worried about customs / taxes?
Anyone got any ideas hwo I could buy such a thing on line to send to Phils? Last resort is to send her money, but thats boring!

When I send with dhl I always put the value at £5 and put gifts with no commercial value and I think they charge about 500 pesos
A few times there was no tax to pay when Jonalyn got the box

:yikes: Blimey I can see how that lot make their money - obviously pandering to the needs of mug foreign buyers - I just randomly picked out a USB Bluetooth Dongle US $34 plus 6 - 10 bucks delivery..................... ebay US $3.80 - $6 inc postage.
I know the Phils postage system is a bit of a non starter but manilabossoms prices are sky high.

I think Jackie Chan would walk it from Guangzhou for that price. I can see the sense of these sites for OFW's foreigners etc making it easy to have flowers and bits/bobs delivered locally - but most of it is either tat or mega rip off

i think these sites are mostly for convenience where the recipient won't have to wait longer or go to post office just to get the package and then pay extra for customs tax..i wouldn't buy anything from these sites anyway if i think it isn't worth it. :)
