This year I decided not to wear a poppy but I did still donate to a elderly gentleman collecting for the British legion but did not take a poppy.
I lost my granddad in Normandy and have served time in the military so I do have respect for those who gave their lives for our freedom and I remember my Granddad often not just once a year.
I feel that wearing a poppy today some how shows support for whats going on in Afghanistan and the mess in Iraq.
When we were in the cold war that was our excuse for our war machine efforts and when the wall come down we had to find a new enemy to keep us under a constant threat or control.
Is this reason enough not to wear a poppy ?:unitedkingdom:

Everyone has their own reasons to wear a poppy or not wear one.
