Hello all, kumusta sa inyo lahat?
I thought I’d introduce myself. My name is Andy & I married Rose 5 years ago. We try and go to the Phils every other year, and visited Bohol as well as visiting Rose’s province (Neg Occ) last November. I love most Filipino food, but still haven’t got used to the fish’s head looking at me on the plate! We’ve discovered a Filipino store in Hounslow for food, which is an easier, cheaper trip than London. I’m trying to learn Filipino, but it’s difficult with books, so only know a few phrases and words – it’s not taught in evening classes! We hope to go to the London fiesta in July, as we didn’t go last year. I love the Phils and would love to live there (or at least try it for at least 6 months), but Rose thinks I’m too young (nearly 43) to retire! Are there any others who plan to emigrate either in the near or distant future?
I’m glad that there are FilBrit forums like this, as a lot of Phils orientated info/sites etc is American orientated. I’m a member of a few Yahoo foreign/Phils groups, but a lot are American orientated, although I have found 2 Brit/Phils groups – one with members mostly in the UK, & the other with Brit expats in the Phils.
Good bye & Paalam
Andy
