Alan Pardew is set to be named as the new Newcastle manager within the next 24 hours, BBC Sport understands.

They aren't real, are they 11th in the table and they sack Houghton.
Reason want experience manager. well they have him bad experience.
He joined West Ham in September 2003 and guided them to promotion to the Premier League in 2005 before being sacked in December 2006.
He then joined Charlton on Christmas Eve 2006 but the club were relegated from the Premier League later that season and after failing to get promotion in 2007-08, he left in November 2008. :doh

Ashley is a d:censored:k, Houghton has done a decent job over the last year, they aren't in any danger of relegation at the moment, and he should have been given until the end of the seasonto show what he was capable of. My guess is they would have finished mid table, which is pretty good for a first season in the top flight.

the club been in peices from bobby robson left gullet was a mess daglish souness to name but a few houghton came to the table and brought them back from the brink its typical from nufc board they messed up one of the biggest clubs in europe. GO ON THE BOYSSSSSSSSSSSS
