Hiya,

I'm in the process gathering all the paperwork / documents together which are needed for fiancé visa application which will then by sent to my mahal in the Philippines.

With regard to the fiancé visa application, do I need to show that I have provisionally booked a date at my local Registry office here in the UK?
Or is this something which can be done when my good lady is with me here in the UK?

I suppose in other words, do the Visa Application Staff / ECO want to see that a provisionally booked wedding date has been arranged in order for a Finacé Visa to be issued?

Many thanks,
Dave

I made a provisional booking at the registary office, easy to do , costs nothing, and its good supporting evidence. I made a sucessful application 3 years ago , if I can be of any further help let me know :)

Personally, Dave ... I've always felt it was a bit much to expect Fiancee Visa applicants to provide a firm booking  - especially for a Wedding Reception - but I think it would do no harm to book a provisional date with your local Registry Office ... as the latter can be far more easily altered to tie in with a couple's changing circumstances.

Steve's and Mike's responses differ ... but it's worth noting that their partners both applied successfully!! Goodluck. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

There was a post on here recently concerning this subject. Sorry can't find it just now.
Anyway, the applicant was given 3 weeks (by ECO) to provide supporting evidence that
a wedding was actually being planned within the Fiance visa validity.
I don't remember the outcome, but I'm sure a detailed search will locate the posting which lists things that can be done to provide supporting evidence.

Thanks for the replies guys!
Just to be on the safe-side, I've contacted my local Registry Office with regard to making a provisional date. As Arthur says, it's certainly not going to do any harm including proof of provisional booking with the other visa application documents.

Thanks again,
I may well take up the offers of further assistance
Cheers,
Dave
