What are the sounds you hear, that make you know you are in the Philippines?

One that I think of & always find myself whistling, is the jingle to the little blue Nestle ice cream trikes you see & hear everywhere...I like it, though it could drive you  :Cuckoo: if you had to listen to it all day, everyday?

Cockerels dawn chorus, then the Toko gecko's. We had two in the house we rented in February, about 12/18 inch's long. Noisy buggers.

Oh yes, there is one stall in SM MegaMall that constantly has this jingle going. It drives me nuts. This along with the guys ringing bells to try and attract customers.

Sound of Jeepneys, trikes and horns

Also the sound of my name being repeated over and over. As if people in the family not sure what to say to me they seem to simply say my name to make me feel involved in the convo:rolleyes:

"Inilog....inilog....inilog......biya....biya....biya" the kristos taking bets at sabong.Always roosters,my mates got hundreds on his farm near Mt Matutum but I slept through morning reveille like a log,oh yeah, and Tuckoooo, tuckooooo, tuckooooo as the Tokays call at night, and the myriad of marsh frogs sing in the rice paddies once the sun sets.
