Well, PDA is kinda common here in Manila now for the youngsters...but not on the elders' views..the younger generation here is somewhat a bit liberated now..kissing is okay but torrid kissing everytime would make the elders think you're doing porn or the like...hahahahaha..:Rasp:

Hi worthingmale (Nigel),

My wife, now in England, never allowed any PDA when we were in Phils.
I even have to grab a kiss by deception here in England :icon_lol:

She was from the province and even "dresses down" when she is back in the province, so she doesn't want to attract any gossip when she goes home. :yikes:

City folk in any country seem to be less conservative.

A others say depends on the group. The wife when with friends in Manila and even Laguna has Bucklas (Gays) and lesibans in couples (discretely in public) in parties and gatherings so holding hands and the odd kiss between a man and woman not newsworthy but at family gatherings on in public let the Local set the standard if they make a mistake they will pick up on it far quicker than you.

Yes not much in the way of PDA, but I also think it's charming, the way they resist. :hugx:

Hi Nigel,

In general... PDA here in the Phils is :nono-1-1: to many people. But the one in question is your mahal if she feels comfortable showing affection.

As some people have said that in some cities it is okay. But I would say that it is all up to your mahal. Some of us filipinos are open-minded and don't care what other people might think when holding hands, kissing or have your shoulders around her specially if you are in urban areas like Manila, Boracay where western have influenced most filipinos. Though you have to keep in mind that in some occasions and places like church, family gathering, eating out must show sense of decency as it can cause other people to raise their eye brows and would even make them feel uncomfortable if there is a couple smooching around them.

Ask your mahal about her views about showing affection in public... her views are more important than what other people thinks.
