Hi...First of all apologies if this has been asked before.....Perhaps someone can clarify this issue for me. My fiancee is here in the UK, she arrived in November. We plan to marry in Feb / March then she can apply for the FLR...Now all this issue with English language test is confusing me.....if she takes the life in the UK exam...and passes is this accepted as passing the English language test?.....or does she have to take a seperate test?...I cant seen to find clarification anywhere....We are in Sheffield...and I see there is a company in Leeds who do the English language test for around £150..(not cheap).....but my fiancee could take the life in the UK test in Sheffield for around £35...I just want to know which way to go...many thanks for any help.

no they are not the same test, your g/f needs to pass the english language test to be able to apply for FLR, so you better get the test done ASAP, becuase if she doesnt pass she will not be able to apply for FLR, and may well have to go back to the phils
the life in uk test needs to be taken to apply for ILR , (thats more than 2yrs away for your g/f)
I think the A1 test is around £100,
is the company name in leeds 3 letters long ?
