Good evening all,
Sorry if this has been asked before.
I have been overseas for the last 5 years and was not planing to come back.Apart from a hoilday with my wife and our daughter.I had a job offer in the Middle East and been waiting for the visa and opening date since 6mths.
So it looks like i will be coming home for good.
And of course I want my wife and daughter to be with her.
Trouble is as i have been overseas
So dont have an active bank account here
(i have a job but its a temp job)
And staying with family.
Would be i need to do to apply for a least a visit visa in the short term for my wiife and daughter.
All your help in advice.

When I came back from HongKong I was in a similar situation (my 2 stepkids needed visas too, but wife had one), I used my HongKong bank account, a letter of offer of employment from the UK, and a letter from a friend offering to rent her house to us.

Worked for me.

The powers that be just want to know that you're not going to be living off the state.

Of course if you do want to live off the state the way to go is stick your passports down the aircraft toilet, pitch up at immigration and claim asylum. Tell them you're from Kosovo or some other mafia run toilet state. You will then be offered money, healthcare housing etc
