Belated Happy New Year everyone:)
I got back home last night, and had another wonderful time with my mahal in the Phil's. I did a lot of travelling this time and crammed a lot into 13 days. Hong Kong, Macau, Makati, Tagaytay and Lake Taal plus Palawan. 8 flights, about a dozen boats and far too many bus, jeepney, taxi and trike trips meant that I didn't really get to see as much of the sun as I wanted, but it was all worth it to spend some time with Elaine.

Yes, it was very busy, too busy to be honest. I'm pleased I went to HK to see, but it took up too much of my time and really I would have preferred the extra time with Elaine.

HK is i great place, but getting quite expensive and maybe not the best place to explore alone!
Glad you got to Macau...i haven't been for a few years. I won the F3 GP with Coulthard in 91!
As you say very Vegas!!
Looking at ur pics though there is so much more fun to be had exploring the Islands in Phils!
Best of luck to you & Elaine...

HK is expensive now, on par with Singapore. It has a very British infrastructure, and is very efficient...in complete contrast to the Phil's. Macau is really just an Asian Vegas, very plush and OTT, I'm glad I went but wouldn't bother going again. I did like HK, and would like to go back with Elaine, but 2 or 3 days there is enough for me, as it is in any big city, Manila included.
It's nice to see other countries, but exploring the islands and cultures of the Phil's is where my passion really is though.

Far too quickly Tawi.
Yes I did get down to Wanchai, but it reminds me of Singapore, over priced beer and if you venture into a bar you get pounced on by a dozen girls who all want you to buy them watered down ladies Drinks at about £30 a go:omg:
I liked Honkers, but for City life, I much prefer Makati....and I got to eat Crocodile at the Krocodile Grille at Greenbelt in Makati :D

I like Makati too but just spent xmas and New Year in Bangkok and fell in love with the place. Did`nt get to see as much as we wanted as I think I had the flue while we was there but the place was buzzing and felt safe to walk around.I think the Philippines would do well to take a lesson from Thailand and develop its tourism.
