Hi everyone,
Such a great and informative site. I am a Brit currently living in the Phils with my GF and lovely 2 year old daughter. I work abroad mainly in the Middle East with experience of Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and now in Syria.
Hoping to get married to my GF when her annulment is finalised, such a long process. Have experience of getting visit visas on several occasions and now going through the process again in the Phils for a planned visit for GF and daughter in April.
Thanks once again for such a great site.

if you have lived togther for 2yrs you might be able to apply for an 'unmarried partner' visa, but from what you've said about working in the middle east, you've probably not ?

Mick I am in the Oil and Gas Industry currently as a Lead Health and Safety Trainer in Syria for Petrofac International an Oil and Gas Facilities Management Company. Was in Abu Dhabi only 4 months ago before coming here, so was only an hour from Dubai and visited on a regular basis.

Ha! Thought so. I'm right next door in Avida Towers. Although I'm not staying there at the moment. Will be back in a couple of weeks though.

Yes Paul next door neighbours so to speak.:xxgrinning--00xx3: Was due back there in April but have decided to take them all to the Uk for visit instead. They are all applying next Monday for visas, so fingers crossed. My GF has been to UK 3 times before so hoping its just a formality, but you never know with immigration. Always back there in Manila at least 4 times a year. Few UK ex pats live in GGS we all seem to meet up on a regular basis for a beer or 2. Will give you a shout next time Im over.
