i have listening & closely following the debate on who should be awarded the olympic stadium west ham or tottenham hotspur west intend to keep the running track but most fans & managers believe this will take the atmosphere out of the game as the fans are too faraway from the pitch where as tottenham want to demolish the track because of this problem with the atmosphere what is your opinion on who should be awarded the staduim :Erm:

It should go to Spurs without even thinking about it. Bigger crowds, better club, better finances, etc

IMO the whole Olympics is a gross waste of money and will be a burden on the taxpayer for years to come. Precious few jobs have been created for British workers but the constuction sites have provided mass employment for Kenny Krakow and untold other dubious migrants. The glowing exception of course is the Olympics Delivery Authority which has given a select few Brits an unrivalled opportunity to hone their trough feeding skills.

As a West Ham supporter all my life (From Essex) I know who should be awarded it. I can agree with the sports track being left in place some of the atmosphere will be lost. But once went to a football match at the Berlin Olympic Stadium which retained its track and the atmosphere was great there.

The thing that I find totally  in this day and age is we can spend 500 mil on a stadium, use it for a few weeks and then demolish it. I can think of lots of ways 500 mil could have been more wisely spent.

Building 5 stadia at £100M each would have been a good start :)

I'm Tottenham born and raised and have been a Spurs fan all my life, so naturally I'm none too keen on us winning this bid. But I think we will. Our bid is stronger in even respect: even for UK athletics. They get a dedicated Athletic stadium which can be used 365 days a year. The Olympic stadium will at best be available for 8 weeks a year. A lot of the materials, seats etc from the Olympic Stadium will be used to revamp Crystal Palace. So I think we'll get it. I may well follow to Stratford but I know it would never be the same again.

Capitalism has really killed football. 20-25 years ago we would have just extended WHL if we believed we could get more people in. Now it is all about the corporate boxes and the maximum of those we can get and how good the transport links are. So more and more of these soulless plastic stadia are cropping up. Often well away from the club's historically roots. It's a real shame.
