:Help1:I need some advice about getting a valentines gift to my girlfriend who lives in Mindanao.
I think I have left it to late to buy something here in the UK and post it so I have looked online at sites that can deliver direct to the Philippines within a few days, I am worried about the security of these sites and was wondering if anyone here had used one of these sites & could recommend one?

I've never looked, but do large e-retailers like Amazon or Buy have Filipino operations?

Used them for years, very reliable not too expensive, will still deliver if you order now I think.

Ok it's just flowers, chocolates and candles but these are much appreciated gifts over there.

Hard to use Amazon in the Phils Ian, it can be done I believe but it's all external to the Phils, using international couriers.

I presume the other one you mention is Buy.com?

Never heard of them before and after a quick look at the site it would appear they are just a 6 country operation so far.

Lots of big online companies are reluctant to do business in the Phils probably because there is still not the appropriate critical mass of viable credit card holders, i.e. people with good enough credit to be able to buy online easily.

Logistics are still a bit ropey too.

I have used: https://www.islandrose.net/
Several time they are reliable and have checked back with me about one of my orders before sending, I had clicked twice and double ordered.

...and if it's a bad connection just make sure it's her and not her mother :omg:

It is cheaper to contact one of her best friends and get them to pick something up for her after you've Paypalled the money to her.
