Hello! Sorry if there is already an existing thread about my question but I can't get the answer I want. I am married to an English man and have been residing in the UK since May 2010. I know that it's still a long way for me to think about applying for Life in the UK test but one thing I'm confused about is if I need to take the english test before I apply for ILR in 2 years' time? Hope someone can enlighten me on these changes.

yes, you can take it anytime you like before you submit your ilr doc's.

get the book and practice before you take it.

a waste of time and money if you ask me :NoNo:

have a read here and if your not sure ask your hushand http://www.lifeintheuktest.gov.uk/

you buy the book and and review and find a local test centre in your area and book in to take it, pass rate is 75% i think, you only need the english test for new visa from last november thankfully you already have the visa :D
