The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported yesterday that the number of Filipinos believed to be still trapped in the rubble of a collapsed building has increased to 14 after the 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck Christchurch, New Zealand last Tuesday.

I think yesterday they formally declared that everyone missing must be dead as it's been a week since they got anyone out alive.
Predictable lack of reporting, organising of aid/whiprounds in the UK considering many of those who perished will have been of British stock. I wonder what the situation would have been if it had happened in Bangladesh

New Zealand police have identified a Filipina casualty in the earthquake that hit Christchurch last month.
Ivy Jane Cabunilas, 33, a health assistant at the Cashmere View Hospital in Christchurch, was the first confirmed fatality among the 11 Filipinos earlier declared missing and were feared to have died in the quake.
Authorities have confirmed the identities and released the names of 65 people who died in the disaster, including Cabunilas’.
