Hi Guys,
Two or three weeks ago I was on this site looking for a reputable company for my good lady to do her A1 English Language Test. I read on one of the posts here that someone had used Study Connect in Cagayan De Oro (CDO).
Well, my girl contacted them, arranged to do a practice day then the following sat her test. She's had confirmation that she's past the test. She got a text the beginning of last week, and on Thursday she received her certificate. She said she found staff very helpful and friendly.
On Friday they phoned her to congratulate her on her pass. Just prior to the call she'd had some difficulty completing the online visa application form so cheekily asked if they would help her do it online. They said sure!
The staff sat with her doing the online application, printed off paper copies etc. She said it took almost two hours all told.
The staff did not want paying for the time they had spent with her, so when it was finished she took them out for a meal. She's very happy with the staff working in the CDO office Study Connect. From what she's told me, it's EXCELLENT customer service!!!!! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Did she think the practise was worth it?
Ladybug, my wife went to speak to them the other day...It's a shame, they couldn't have done it together, as she was looking for someone to take it with. :)
(As I was writing this, one of my horrible cats just brought a rabbit in the house grrrrrrr!!!! :doh)

Hi Sim, you can go to this site http://www.emdenglish.com/a1_sample_test.php and see their sample tests for reading, writing, listening and speaking. EMD is the international affiliate of studyconnect. According to them, their exam is just very basic and practical, 50 items or less, for 2hrs. You can pass this to Ladybug and she can practice by herself. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Hiya, I think probably would've been OK without doing the practice day. But I think it gave an idea of what the test entailed and this gave her greater confidence to do the test the following day. So, yes, I'd say it was worth it !!

Have just gone through the test & watched the video, I can't see her having a problem with it.
We'll go through it together though. :)
