I tell you one thing..Whether they are guilty or not I doubt they will ever show up in a Filipino court room voluntarily.. I also doubt that if they are in the UK,the Police or authorites will make them via extradition etc.. Not without proper incriminating evidence that the PNP compromised after arresting and charging the wrong people..
Thank goodness they were released!

I feel thankful for the Norwegian and his filipina fiancee, finally they're free.

I also doubt that the new suspects will go back to the Philippines, or maybe still in the Philippines as the filipina lady have another cybersex den in Manila area.

Unless they show up in the Philippines again to prove that they are innocent.
Still unbelievable for this woman to kill a child.. she is a mother of two (though with the father) but then drugs can make a person mad.

The opposite is more is true. Without a shred off evidence the other couple wld still be doing bird.

With a blood splattered car there's bound to be more than enough forensic to put the British Phil in the frame.

It's unlikely they wld head for Blighty.

What sentence wld you impose Keith?

I wonder if Phil still have death penalty?

They were released about 10 days ago.

There were reports of traces of blood in the car...Could be Diniguan... Who knows till its tested by forensic people? (if there are any in the Philippines)

Like Fred pointed out, it's unlikely they wld head for Blighty.

I dont think I said that gwapito.

I wonder if Phil still have death penalty?

No, it doesn't. :NoNo: It was abolished in the 1990s, I believe ... then reinstated for a time under Estrada - until he was ousted - before being abandoned once more during Gloria's regime.

Jail for long periods in the Phils is a death sentence if you dont have resources they just stretch it out over time.

At this time there is absolutly nothing in the public domain that suggests this new couple are guilty of this crime just more speculation

next senior police will start saying they are "moraly certain" just like with the last couple if it wasnt so sad that justice foe Ella is now unlikely it would be laughable

It also has an impact for those wishing to retire here as its clear anyone can be put in the frame and prooving your innocence can be very dificult especial if your Embassy offers no real support

Erik was very lucky to have lots of support from Norway and a cast iron alibi that the police didnt bother to check on the basis that 3 six year old witnesses refute any alibi

Had the political fall out not started to embarris the governer and if she had not ordered the NBI to investigate the first pair would be still locked up,reward distributed, and pats on the back all round:furious3:

I wonder if Phil still have death penalty?

No they do not and it is just as well considering the way the justice system here works..
Having said that it may be far kinder than a long stint in jail here in the R.P.. Like Keith says..A probable death sentence in its self..
This is why I am working with others to try to get one of our forum members urgent assistance.. It seems that both the Taylors nearly lost their lives in san Mateo due to a typhoon and floods.. read her letter delivered to us yesterday on the Brit detained thread to get a rough idea about prison conditions here.

The two witnesses, in a joint affidavit said they saw the foreigner “pull out something from the rear portion of the vehicle—a white rolled object, seemingy the size of an ordinary sack—and placed it on top of the cemented dike beside the road. A few seconds after, the white object was dumped off the cliff.”

It all sounds suspect to me, where do all these "witnesses" suddenly appear from, they must have been standing very close? :Erm:

according to the news back home, the master bedroom which was found splattered with some bloods on the walls and a bedsheets hidden in cupboard contain traces of blood were sent to Manila for possible DNA test.

the British and his filipina gf left the Philippines without any notice as when they are coming back or when they actually left but the sister of the filipina defending her suspected sister that they left last 9 Feb. the day the poor girl was killed and thrown.

I believe that the suspects must be under the influence of drugs for them to commit such crime and fled the country. The filipina gf of the British employs underage girls to work for her cybersex den at home and when it was raided by the police, only sex toys were found and few computers, usb that contains pornographic photos.

Hope they come back to prove their innocence.

Hope they come back to prove their innocence.

If they are innocent they would be crazy to come back to face the justice system here.:Cuckoo:

The Norwegian guy & his girlfriend were innocent and spent 16 days in imprisonment ! They were able to account for all their movements, with many photos of them together caught on CCTV…..

He’d come out to see his girlfriend/fiancée, and the next thing he knows, he’s accused of murder…. And there’s also a report of some “pimp” (out for the reward ?) telling the police that he’d supplied him with under-age girls !
… there but for the grace of God ….etc .. etc

I believe that the suspects must be under the influence of drugs for them to commit such crime and fled the country. The filipina gf of the British employs underage girls to work for her cybersex den at home
Pure, pure speculation….. and IF the second statement is true, then why wasn’t it reported to the local police… or if it was, who were they paying off ?

Yes, they are potential suspects. But both are innocent until proven guilty.

I expect the 'local police' are extorting money from them as this is a normal arrangement in The Philippines :NoNo:

As for the Norwegian guy being unfortunate being in the wrong place at the wrong time, more like a 'meal ticket' being in the wrong place, wrong time :NoNo:

For sure they would not incarcerate a local on a whim without thinking they cld get something out of it:NoNo:

G ood oll Great Britain is not so bad after all :D
