PRESTON chairman Maurice Lindsay has accused Alex Ferguson of punishing the club for daring to sack his son Darren.
Manchester United immediately recalled striker Joshua King and defender Ritchie de Laet from their loan spells after Fergie Jnr was axed in December.
United boss Ferguson claimed at the time he made the move because the players did not want to return to Deepdale.
But Lindsay said: "Sir Alex acted in a different way than some people would and took all the players he had on loan.
"It's fairly obvious we paid the price for terminating the contract of his son. It was like having four tyres punctured on the same car."
