View Full Version : Balikbayan Advice

I have never sent a balikbayan box before, and the web sites I've found are not perticularly helpful. So I'd be glad if you could answer some questions:
Can anyone suggest a good company serving Crawley, Sussex?
Do the companies provide the boxes? If not, how do I find the right size of box?
Do they come and collect from my house?
Any weight limit?
would I be right in assuming they are pretty reliable - unlike the post service where half of parcels go missing?
Thanks!

Ian, take a look here, I used LBC, not arrived yet, but you can see how my boxes looked before they went.
Quite a simple process, my boxed were delivered, you can arrange a pick-up date. No limit on weight, as long as the guy can get it into the back of his van. The go from your home and arrive at the address you give them. My boxes were about the size of a washing machine , I think 36" x 30" x 28" you can get lots in, just jam pack it so things dont rattle around.

Reasonable prices & good service, and even informed us of a delay (due to the winter weather in Europe).
Yes, they do service Crawley

Living here in the south west. my problem was getting the boxes but as I work in Poole the local LBC rep (who runs a Filipino shop in Christchurch) dropped them off at my work. I think being in Crawley you wont have any problems at all.
