I know there is a Directive that a Filipino DL can be changed for an EU one. I believe that Belgium was the first to sign up and that was maybe a year or more ago.

Does anyone know if Spain has signed up and, if so, how one can exchange a non-professional Filipino DL for a Spanish one?

Thanks guys.

I recently got my PI 'non' professional licence. Not really an exchange as such with a UK one, I still had to go through all the rigmaral of sitting through a 2 hour seminar (all in tagalog) twiddling my thumbs, and then a multiple choice exam after:doh But, a few peso to the head examiner saw my answer sheet marked in the right places for me. Guess what 100% pass yippeeee:Jump:

Make sure you are drug free as you have to do a drug test, and eye test.

Sorry,

Maybe I did not make it clear. I am asking about a Filipino DL being exchanged for a Spanish one.

Hello John,
I explained all this to you before. Do you not remember?
I provided full EU legal data and information links. I explained in full detail the how's and the why's.

Terpe, I do not think I have posed this question here before. I have looked at all threads started by me and cannot find a reference. You did provide a lot of info about something else, but I can't remember what it was.

However, Filipino DLs can be exchanged for Spanish, see:-

How about this thread that you started in January 2011 with the same thread title:-

Heavens above, it was bad enough them using that mickey mouse licence for year in the UK before having to take the uk test. While in The Philippines our British licence is good for 3 months only.

The roads are not a safe place :NoNo:

I too got a phil licence (4 thousand peso's) on the strength of my uk licence, only valid for 3 years though, it expired july 09

I had it stolen along with my wallet july 08, frm friends I thought. 2 Goan guys frm the gym I frequented at the time.

Funny thing was, I knew them, we saw each 3 or 4 times a week. Really nice people, i thought.

I never saw them again after that afternoon. Perhaps back in Goa. Once light fingered, always light fingered.
