medg22

I was reading a local magazine last night and I saw the 'looking for love' page. i noticed that there are couple of men looking for a partner and specifically they want a Filipina girl  (it made me smile though) but why Filipina? What's special about us? :) hehe! :D :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Probably because Filipina's are well known for making good wives, more so than any other nationality.

I'd imagine that Thai, Malaysian and other SE Asian women would make good wives too but it's Filipina's who are the 'market leaders' so to speak. Could be something to do with English being their second language. :Erm:

We love the jealous looks or slap we get if we look in the wrong direction when another woman is passing. We love the grief we get if we don't reply to a yahoo message immediately or if we comment on another females facebook status, or if another female comments on our facebook status.

Only joking:icon_lol:

No pain now...photo deleted...like the ex.
(I have only posted it once before, and I don't have many).

A few memories, yes.

I have my son, and the respect and affection from my stepchildren. That makes up for all else. :)

I agree on what Englishman Jamie and Graham said.

They do undoubtedly make great Mama's. Jane's mum had 5 and at 47 yo still looks a million dollars.

The jealousy thing can be a nuisance but, nobodies perfect, including me.

As for gadgets, the wife got more enjoyment watching the washing machine go round rather than watch the tv

Sorry to intrude Graham, no need to delete the pic, I did remember seeing it before but I probably misjudged the number of postings, more likley related to the number of times I viewed the thread, can't remember.

Yep you have your family in spite of everything and that is one of the thing that keeps us going, I have a 24 year old daughter and she is just brilliant, I do understand Graham.

Sorry Jim, reading that back I came across as ungracious. Guess I was tired.

Of course there is pain when a relationship ends (and you discover that your partner has been cheating on you for several years).

I HAVE moved on now though, and there's just nostalgia I suppose.

I last met her at the funeral of a friend back in November, and she was no longer at all attractive to me, so probably just as well.

If would of asked my first wife for breakfast in bed, I would of more likely ended wearing it with a volley of expletives to boot.

How I stuck it with that witch all those years is beyond me....if id had known i would found happiness like I have now, i would given her the big heave ho years ago.

I was already a few years in Singapore and Hong Kong when I met my Filipina. I had known one or two Thai, Malaysian and HK Chinese girls and had not really had any major preference, down to the individual person as it were. I had a filipina house keeper and was always impressed with her thoroughness, thoughtfulness and general happy demeanour but was not exactly girlfriend material to put it kindly. Then I met my honey (well her bottom actually running up a mountain ahead of me in a mountain marathon we were competing in) Got to chat with her after the race, and within a few weeks was absolutely crazy about her. She had to be wooed, we had her friend with us on the 1st two dates lol, but eventually SHE decided I met her high standards hehehehehe and the rest is history. We now have two beautiful kids and are still madly and deeply in love. I never chose a Filipina, she chose me:) lol and I am so glad that she did:Jump::Jump:

I saw a couple of Fat Slags lookalikes the other day when I was driving through a town centre near me. They were outside a chip shop stuffing their cake holes, it was quite a warm day and their Borstal tattoos on their forearems, upper arms and upper cleavages were on display.
As I saw them, I remember thinking to myself, "That's why I chose a Pinay"

My daughter and her husband live in "the wilds" of North East Scotland ... where my son-in-law is a teacher. As the schools are on holiday for Easter, they're spending a few days with us here in Perth. Because of the harsh wintry weather, we hadn't seen them since before the Festive Season.

Imagine our surprise - and DELIGHT - :veryhappy: yesterday, when, as a belated Christmas gift, they presented us with an ENORMOUS blown-up portrait of their two young kids (a boy and girl) ... taken last December, and transferred onto canvass! It now has pride of place on one of our sitting room walls.

He looks very handsome:)I was interested in your comment on his pure pinoy classmates, this is a true story, when my son was very small he was going to get entered in a bonny baby type contest:Erm:when the organisers saw him they asked was he 100% "Pure":Erm:pinoy, informed that he wasnt he was banned from entering as the contest was for "pure" pinoys only:rolleyes:

Cannot say I am interested in the bonny baby or the whole pageant thing with the girls that the locals seem obsessed with but it is a strange rule given that most of the more famous celebs and television folks are either mix or just "pale" in colour, I actually prefer my honey to be be browner as it were... the whole cultural thing of paler is better is annoying. Bloody Spanish!!!

As mentioned earlier, many women from various locations and backgrounds can make great wives.

However, in my view, you'll find a greater number of women with the values that many Western men value in Asia than perhaps in others. Having said that NOT ALL FILIPINAS make great wives per se - whether they do depends on so many things such as their individual ethics, what their partner needs/expects from them and how their partner treats them, etc.

My wife is a great wife for me because of what I value and admire in her so much and because of what I'm willing to do to ensure she is happy!

All I can say is that, my wifes love is unconditional, she accepts me for who I am and unlike most of the western women that I have known, she does not want to change me. The biggest bonus is that beautiful smile and sparkle in her eyes that greet me each morning. money just can't buy that

Great question!
Well for me too I didn't go looking either! Me and my gorgeous fiancee met - love at first sight, she is the first Filipina I've ever met and we just clicked.
We spent three days together and then sadly I had to return to the uk. She kept in touch by SMS and when I got back to Asia I called her to come and stay with me in Kuala Lumpur.
The rest as you say is history!

Some of the sentiments mentioned are so true in my fiancee too, she gets so jealous which one hand I like because it proves without a shadow of doubt she truly loves me! On other hand it can upset me because I love her more than any words...I can only show her how much :censored: if you know what I mean!
Also when in KL I got a lot of negative comments from colleagues who said whatever you do don't marry cos all Filipina girls are out for your money!
I've not witnessed anything like this with my fiancee and I stuck to my guns and continued the relationship! I'm looking for loyalty too and I know you give before you get...
I love my beautiful Filipina and hope we live a long and happy life together.

It's just the red tape of getting her here that's so depressing to me!!:cwm23:

Cheers

You can tell an English guy who has a Filipina for a wife, he walks around with a contended smile that suggests to all the unlucky men in the world, that he is privy to something special that they will probably never be able to comprehend. Words don't really describe what it is, but all you guys lucky enough to have a Filipina wife know. you see it first thing in the morning, every moment that you spend with each other during the day and, last thing at night..... need I say more?

Hey there, having just gone through all the "Red Tape" I can sympathise, but please believe me, If you follow the rules and do everything correctly you will be rewarded. I can remember vividly how i felt when I opened my email at 06:00 in the morning and had confirmation that my wife's visa had been granted. I physically shook. Now she will be hear in a week and all the crap that we went through just seems like a bad dream now. So, trust your own judgement and not that of lesser beings, who neither have the heart or strength of character to deserve the love of your chosen lady.

Thanks very much for your kind words - and I believe what you say 100%.
I'm just waiting for the TOEIC test results - all the paperwork is ready for the visa application (about 3" of it) we just need the certificates from those tests and we are ready to go...

Totally agree with your "tell wh has a Filipina wife" my Mahal is so gorgeous and some of the portraits I have of her on my phone have blown the minds (small explosions in some) of my friends - and comments like "how the hell did you pull her" all I can say is wit, charm and sincerity are three good traits I have and I want to enjoy life, have fun and love this girl like she has never been loved before..
